Where the Real Actions Lie this Weekend | From Individual to Collective Milestones

Another weekend of football is set to follow a busy week, where league, cup, and continental action engaged teams, leaving fans spoilt for options all week long.
The players are set to retake the pitch as league actions resume across all top European leagues, and at Betrekatips, we bring you where the top action is this weekend.
10 Places the Real Actions Lie This Weekend
1. Harry Kane Targets History in Bayern vs. Werder Bremen
On Friday night, Bayern Munich will be keen to continue their perfect start to the season when they play host to Werder Bremen, but the bigger highlight of the match will be Harry Kane's historical target.

The English striker has already found the back of the net 103 times in 98 Bayern Munich games, and if he manages to score a brace in the match, he will break the record for the fastest player to reach 100 goals for a European club.
The record, which Cristiano Ronaldo is currently sharing at Real Madrid and Erling Haaland at Manchester City, is the target for Harry Kane in tonight's game—a fixture in which he already has three goals in his last two.
The striker is enjoying a stellar start to the season and has contributed at least two goals in all of his Bayern Munich appearances so far, and with 12 goals and three assists in six games, the odds are in favour of him achieving history tonight.
2. Man United Seeks First Back-to-Back League Win Under Ruben Amorim

They never stop knocking. After another win, they rarely, but barely achieved last time out against Chelsea, who played almost the entire 90 minutes with 10 men, Manchester United hit the road this weekend in search of their first back-to-back Premier League win under Ruben Amorim.
They take on Brentford at the Gtech Stadium on Saturday's early kickoff with the hope of securing their first away win since The Bees’ first season back in the top flight in January 2022.
Brentford do have their own troubles with just one league win after five games, visibly impacted by the departure of not only their manager but also two major attackers in the form of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, the former who will make a return with The Red Devils.
Keith Andrews' side may just be there for the taking for United, who might claim to be slowly but steadily getting their season on track after winning two of their last three games.
After ten months at the helm, will Ruben Amorim finally achieve his first back-to-back Premier League wins at Manchester United? Maybe. We'll find that out on Saturday at a venue where they're winless in their last three visits, losing twice.
3. Brighton Players Audition at Chelsea

Just like Paul Merson said: "Big game for all the Brighton players because they are on trial. If they have a good game, they can join Chelsea!"
Chelsea have signed five senior players from Brighton in the last four summer windows, with only the summer of 2024, when they didn’t spend big, being the time they didn’t transact with the Seagulls.
Marc Cucurella, Moises Caicedo, Robert Sanchez, Joao Pedro, and recently Facundo Buonanotte have all moved to West London from the Amex, and with the talents still at Brighton’s disposal, another one may just catch Chelsea’s eyes before the window ends.
A good performance at Stamford Bridge will aid the case of whoever it would be, and a club that beat Chelsea twice in three meetings last season might just become inspired to pick up their first win at Chelsea since April 2023.
Chelsea, who have only ever lost once at home to Brighton, will be keen on building on their midweek Carabao Cup win as they search for their first league victory in three.
4. No Better Time for Madrid Derby for Real

While their city rivals are still struggling to find their feet in the new season, Real Madrid have remained perfect and could continue their run with their first La Liga win in the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday afternoon.
The first Madrid derby of the season, and the first one for Xabi Alonso as a manager, will be a test. The Real Madrid boss has always maintained that it is too early in the season for assessments, but aside from their Club World Cup campaign, this is his biggest test yet.
A win against Diego Simeone’s charge is never easy; just once have Los Blancos tasted victory in their last six trips to their city rivals’ stadium in La Liga, though that appears to be the only reason for optimism for the hosts ahead of the fixture.
One hard-fought win in their last three games and important players sidelined by injuries, Atlético Madrid are no match for the current Real Madrid, but a derby is always a derby, and often unpredictable.
5. Clash of the Invincibles: Palace vs. Liverpool

Crystal Palace and Liverpool, the two teams left with an unbeaten record in the Premier League this season, clash on Saturday, and one will have to make way, or Liverpool’s perfect run could come to an end.
Crystal Palace already stopped Arne Slot’s charge in English football’s curtain-raiser, winning the Community Shield on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time. Yet, they have failed to win any of their last ten home league clashes with Liverpool, losing nine.
Liverpool will be without star signing Hugo Ekitike, but that presents the opportunity to give a first league start to their British record signing, Alexander Isak, whose only goal against The Eagles came earlier this year in April.
Who will remain unbeaten at full-time, or will Liverpool’s perfect start be sacrificed for both sides to continue their run?
If they win, Liverpool could move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, depending on other simultaneous results.
6. Tiebreakers in Ligue 1

After the completion of the previous round, no team remains unbeaten in Ligue 1 thanks to Olympique Marseille, who ended their 13-year winless home run against Paris Saint-Germain on Monday night.
Ahead of the kickoff of round six, four teams are tied on 12 points, one more has reached double digits, while three others are within touching distance.
This weekend’s schedule sees many of the teams in the top half locking horns, so vast changes will be expected in the standings at the conclusion of the gameweek.
On Friday night, either Strasbourg or Marseille will have the chance to assume the summit with a win when they clash at the Meinau Stadium, although a draw will be enough for the hosts to claim top spot.
Later in the weekend, both Monaco and PSG will enjoy favourable fixtures, with the former on the road to Lorient while the champions are at home against Auxerre. Lille hosts Lyon in the game of the round, while Rennes’ trip to Lens also holds promise.
7. Further Tests for Juventus’ Title Credentials

With 10 points from their opening four games, this is Juventus’ best start to a Serie A season since 2018–19, when they won all four games under Massimiliano Allegri, who is now in charge at Milan.
On Saturday, they’ll welcome Atalanta to Turin with the intention of building on a brilliant start under Igor Tudor, who has already led them to impressive results against Inter and Borussia Dortmund in two of their last three games.
Their opponents, Atalanta, look to have finally returned to form, as back-to-back league wins have taken them to eight points and a place in the top five, two behind second-placed Juventus.
It will be an even match and surely one of the few to look out for this weekend. Atalanta are unbeaten in their last seven away games at Juventus in the league, winning two and drawing five.
They are the only side in Serie A to have such a dominant record in the home of Juventus, something they’ll look to continue this weekend, while Tudor and his boys will be out to set the record straight.
8. Al Ittihad and Al Nassr Clash Again

Even though both clubs missed out on the Super Cup to Al Ahli, the presence of reputable players in their respective teams makes them the stars of the Saudi Super League, and Al Ittihad the defending champions.
On Saturday, Karim Benzema will face his former teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Kingsley Coman when his club, Al Ittihad, plays host to Al Nassr in the league, with both sides’ winning runs on the line.
Both have won each of their three league games so far as they look to build momentum early in the season, with Al Nassr aiming for their first league title since 2018–19.
They’re currently on their best start since that title-winning campaign, and a win against the defending champions would be a massive statement that, with their strengthened attack featuring Joao Felix and Coman, they’re indeed a force to reckon with.
Al Ittihad has lost just one of their last six home games against Al Nassr and would not want to surrender a dominant run, especially with so much at stake early in the campaign.
9. Arsenal Face Isak-less Newcastle United

Newcastle United’s poor start to the season wouldn’t delight Arsenal more than the absence of Alexander Isak ahead of their Premier League clash at St James’ Park on Sunday evening.
Last season, Arsenal lost three of four games against Newcastle United, and the Swedish striker orchestrated them all, scoring two goals, both winners in two of the three.
Arsenal’s only win against the Magpies last season came in the penultimate round of the league, without Isak, while they also won their most recent clash (friendly) in Singapore during the summer break.
It is massive news for Mikel Arteta’s side. Even though the former Real Sociedad man has gone on to strengthen their direct rivals, it is enough consolation that they stand a better chance of beating Newcastle United this time.
10. Napoli and Milan at Test for Each Other

Napoli have had a perfect start to their title defence in Serie A, but a 2–0 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League means they are beatable, and that will be a source of hope for Milan when the two lock horns at San Siro on Sunday evening.
After losing their opening game of the season, the Rossoneri have dusted themselves up and now boast the best form of any side in Serie A, winning each of their last four games across all competitions without conceding a goal.
For Napoli, their lead at the league summit is yet volatile as the season is still in its early stages, and a defeat could see them drop all the way down to fifth, a drop Antonio Conte will be very keen to avoid.
Keep up with these actions between Friday and Sunday evenings and treat yourself to the best football has to offer this weekend.
