Nine Premier League games went down during the weekend as Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace secured massive wins at the top of the table while Everton, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United also recorded wins.

Huge blow for Arsenal as they fall to a late goal at Villa, while Chelsea only managed a draw at the Vitality stadium, but remain winless in three straight Premier League games.

From the Saturday's early kickoff to the Sunday evening London derby in Craven Cottage and every action in-between, here are the Premier League highlights for the weekend of gameweek 15.

Man City, Villa, take advantage of Arsenal slip

Aston Villa ended Arsenal's 18-game unbeaten run

Arsenal fell to their second defeat of the season after Emi Buendia came off the bench to score a late winner for Unai Emery's Aston Villa at the Villa Park in the first kickoff of the Premier League weekend.

Mikel Arteta's side, still without the defensive duo of Gabriel and William Saliba, continue to struggle at the back, with Aston Villa's two goals taking their goals conceded to six in as many games.

Leon Bailey lost his man as Matty Cash fired Villa in front six minutes after the half hour mark, but the visitors restored parity through halftime substitute Leandro Trossard following a brilliant work from Bukayo Saka down the right.

Both sides were looking for the winner and it was Villa who struck gold in the final minute of the four added, capitalizing on the chaos in the Arsenal box to fire his shot past David Raya, sending the stadium into frenzy.

Manchester City thrash Sunderland to close in on Arsenal

Manchester City made it three consecutive wins as they completely thrash Sunderland in a game many had expected to be evenly contested due to the Black Cats' impressive performance following their return to the top flight.

However, Manchester City, who had won all of their most recent seven meetings were to continue this run, and they took the lead through a sensational long range strike from captain, Rúben Dias just after the half-hour.

Fellow defender Josko Gvardiol made it 2-0 four minutes later to put Pep Guardiola's team in a comfortable position, and Phil Foden continued his scoring run with the third and final goal of the game five minutes after the hour mark.

Goalkeeper Stefan Ortega was only tested once, and he was able to deal with the threat and preserve his fifth Premier League clean sheet, making up for the horrendous performance that saw him let in four against Fulham midweek.

Meanwhile Erling Haaland fired blank, and was barely involved, completing just five passes and attempted one shot before his withdrawal in the 69th minute.

Chelsea earned a lucky draw at Bournemouth

Chelsea have Robert Sanchez to thank for the lone point they earned in their second scoreless match of the season, as Bournemouth asked all the questions at the Vitality stadium on Saturday evening.

Just like in their first game of the season, where Eberechi Eze had a free-kick goal for Crystal Palace controversially disallowed for a foul, Bournemouth also took an early lead, but was rightly ruled out as Luis Sinisterra was offside before teeing up Antoine Semenyo.

Their Spanish goalkeeper made five saves to deny Andoni Iraola's charge, who had lost four of five winless games heading into the weekend.

Chelsea also asked a few questions off their former goalkeeper, Neto, but it was thanks to Sanchez and a solid defensive display they managed to get away with a point, their second in three games.

Liverpool crisis deepens after Leeds setback

Liverpool's crisis is relentless as another awful weekend display saw them blow 2-0 and 3-2 leads to earn just one point away to relegation threatened Leeds United.

The Reds could not impose themselves on their host as an eventful first-half ended without neither side having the breakthrough, but the visitors were lucky enough to take a 2-0 lead just five minutes after the restart.

French forward Hugo Ekitike scored both goals in the 48th and 50th minute to give Arne Slot's side an undeserved lead, ones they were unable to protect as their shaky defence ultimately gave in to Leeds United's relentless pressure.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored from the penalty conceded by Ibrahima Konate to halve the deficit 17 minutes from time, before German midfielder, Anton Stach restored parity two minutes later with a brilliant run.

Liverpool's lead was restored by Dominik Szoboszlai in the 80th minute but the host battled back, and again leveled the score through Japanese midfielder Ao Tanaka in the sixth minute of added time as it finished 3-3 in Elland Road.

Crystal Palace climb to fourth

Crystal Palace continue to move up the table and are now placed fourth after a thrilling London derby win away to Fulham, who have now lost eight Premier League games so far, with only two teams losing more.

Palace took a 20th minute lead on enemy's turf through striker Odsonne Édouard, who bagged his 24th Premier League goal, 21 of which have come in London — it was also his fourth goal against the Cottagers.

Harry Wilson restored parity for the host with a beautiful strike six minutes after the half-hour, but Oliver Glasner's team had the last laugh as captain Marc Guehi headed home Yeremy Pino's corner three minutes from time to seal back-to-back wins for Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur end winless run

Tottenham Hotspur finally secured their first home win since opening weekend, ending a run of six Premier League games without a win in their London stadium as Brentford fall to yet another derby defeat.

It was a perfect weekend for Thomas Frank, who took on his previous team and inflicted another 2-0 defeat on his successor Keith Andrews , who had lost by the same scoreline at their North London neighbors Arsenal in midweek.

Richarlison fired Spurs into the lead in the 25th minute with his sixth league goal of the season, while Xavi Simons, who set up the first goal, then turned goalscorer two minutes before halftime, producing his first goal for the club.

It was Tottenham's first win in six games, and a perfect weekend ended with their first Premier League clean sheet since a 3-0 victory over Everton at the end of October.

West Ham denied controversial win

West Ham United are controversially denied a return to winning ways as Georginio Rutter's injury time equalizer for Brighton was allowed to stand despite a clear foul in the buildup.

The Hammers were on course for their first away win since August after captain Jarrod Bowen fired them in front with his 99th Premier League goal involvement 17 minutes from time.

Nuno Espírito Santo's team had also prevented their host from attempting a shot on target all game but Rutter's controversial equalizer denied them a deserved win and clean sheet for their resilient defending.

A furious Nuno Espírito Santo was left with no away win at West Ham so far but the result meant they have earned three points in their last three away games at Bournemouth, Man United, and Brighton.

Newcastle United extend unbeaten run

Newcastle United made it four unbeaten games, their longest unbeaten run in the Premier League this season after a fairly comfortable win over relegation threatened Burnley on Saturday evening.

The Magpies had won two of their previous three league games and are looking to make it three from four to continue their turnaround in the league after winning just three of their first eleven games.

They poked their noses in front a minute after the half hour through captain Bruno Guimaraes, who caught everyone in awe as his corner kick ended straight in the back of the net for his fifth goal of the campaign.

The lead was doubled in added time of the first-half through Anthony Gordon, who converted a penalty after Lesley Ugochukwu was penalized for a handball, few minutes after Lucas Pires was sent off for the visitors.

Burnley put in a solid defensive performance after the break and prevent Newcastle from adding to their lead, before grabbing themselves a consolation through a Zian Flemming penalty with virtually the final kick of the match.

Premier League standings update

Manchester City now trail leaders Arsenal by two points after the weekend's results, and Aston Villa, who handed the Gunners a loss to make it seven consecutive wins, keep their position in third, one point off second place.

Crystal Palace climbed up to fourth, overtaking Chelsea, who are now on a run of three winless games, and fall to fifth, just three points ahead of 13th-place Manchester United, who will be in action in the Molineux on Monday night.

Burnley and West Ham United remain in the drop zone ahead of the seemingly hopeless Wolves, who play later today.
