Arsenal, Bayern, and Lamine Yamal star in the best of the weekend

Leaders across all of Europe's top five leagues are not relenting while the sentiment is not shared by all the chasers as Bayern Munich go 11 points clear in Germany, while Man City continues to push Arsenal in England.

The weekend delivered some memorable highlights, with Arsenal beating Chelsea to stay ahead in the race for the Premier League title, whereas Inter and Bayern Munich continue to stay out of sight of the chasers.

PSG also received a breather in France after second-place Lens was held at Strasbourg, while Barcelona took advantage of Real Madrid's Monday night fixture to enter the new week four points ahead in LaLiga.

From the battle of set-pieces in London to Bayern Munich's Der Klassiker comeback, here is the summary of the best highlights in each of Europe's top five leagues.

Premier League

Arsenal beat Chelsea in the London derby to complete back-to-back wins in two very important London derby fixtures to keep their five-point lead over Manchester City intact heading into the final nine games, with their rivals playing a game less.

On a tough evening at the Emirates Stadium, Jurrien Timber turned match-winner with his third Premier League goal of the season, after heading home Declan Rice's corner in the 66th minute to restore their lead.

Arsenal broke the deadlock through William Saliba's first goal of the season at the end of the first quarter, but Chelsea leveled just before halftime, with Piero Hincapie diverting Reece James's corner into his own net.

The result means Arsenal are now unbeaten in their last 11 meetings with Chelsea since a 2-0 defeat in August 2021 at the Emirates, while Mikel Arteta also extended his record as the manager with the best win rate in London derbies.

Manchester City continued to put pressure on Arsenal with a nervy 1-0 away win at Leeds United to close the gap to two points before the Gunners' win over Chelsea.

Antoine Semenyo scored the game's only goal just before halftime to give Pep Guardiola's team a massive win, which was seen out thanks to their resilient defensive performance, with Gianluigi Donnarumma bagging another clean sheet.

Manchester United took advantage of Aston Villa's 2-0 derby loss to Wolves to move into third place after coming from a goal down to beat 10-man Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Maxence Lacroix went from hero to villain after conceding a penalty and being sent off with a second booking for a foul on Matheus Cunha just before the hour mark, allowing Bruno Fernandes to cancel out his fourth-minute opener.

Benjamin Sesko headed home the winner 15 minutes from time from Bruno Fernandes' cross to help Michael Carrick's side moved level on points with Villa but ahead on goal difference.

Liverpool moved three points ahead of Chelsea after a 5-2 home win over West Ham United. Brentford, Everton, and Fulham also secured impressive wins to keep alive their dreams of reaching Europe next season. Bournemouth completes the top 10.

The relegation battle is turning into a four-horse race after the failure of all but bottom-of-the-table Wolves, to secure any points during the weekend. Challenging weeks ahead for Spurs, who are just four points off the relegation place and can't win a game of football at the moment.

LaLiga

Lamine Yamal delivered his first career hat-trick for Barcelona as the league leaders blew away Villarreal in Camp Nou on Saturday evening to go four points clear of Real Madrid at the summit with 12 games to go.

Hansi Flick's charge overcame a nervy start before Lamine Yamal scored two first-half goals to give them a deserved lead, but the visitors pulled one back through Pape Gueye four minutes after the halftime break.

Yamal then completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute, before substitute Robert Lewandowski added a fourth to kill off any hopes of a Villarreal comeback, and put the game to bed in the first minute of added time.

Atlético Madrid took advantage of Villarreal's defeat to return to third place thanks to Julian Alvarez's last-gasp winner away to Real Oviedo in a match that almost ended goalless.

Espanyol remains winless in 2026 after Rafa Mir's penalty in the 90th minute gave their host Mallorca a point in a 2-2 draw, whereas Real Betis blew a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 against Sevilla, allowing Celta Vigo to trail by three points after the latter won 2-1 at Girona.

The wins for Levante and Valencia against Deportivo Alaves and Osasuna respectively make things interesting in the relegation battle, but it appears Real Oviedo will be heading back to the lower division come May.

Serie A

Inter Milan put behind them their midweek Champions League disappointment as they secured an impressive 2-0 win over Genoa to go 13 points clear in the Serie A summit early in the weekend.

Federico Dimarco gave the host a first-half lead before Hakan Calhanoglou sealed the win from the spot 20 minutes from time as halftime substitute Amorim was penalized for a handball in his own penalty box.

The result sent them 13 points clear, but was reduced back to 10 later on Sunday, as Milan overcame a stubborn Cremonese thanks to two late goals from Strahinja Pavlovic and Rafael Leao.

Romelu Lukaku's first goal of the season, scored in the 96th minute helped Antonio Conte's Napoli beat Hellas Verona 2-1 after Rasmus Højlund's early goal had been cancelled out by Ivorian midfielder Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro at the start of the final quarter.

The result allowed them leapfrog Roma to third, after Gian Piero Gasperini's charge blew a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with Juventus on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, Como has replaced Juventus in fifth after a 3-1 comeback win over Lecce.

No change in the relegation zone so far, but the two Monday night fixtures, Pisa at home to Bologna and Fiorentina away to Udinese could significantly affect the standings, especially if the results go in the way of the protagonists.

Bundesliga

Bayern Munich extended their impressive away record in Der Klassiker to move 11 points ahead of their closest rival in the race for the Bundesliga title this season after coming from a goal down to win 3-2.

The Bavarians made it seven unbeaten league games in the ground of their main rival thanks to Harry Kane's double, and Joshua Kimmich's winner three minutes before the end of normal time.

Making his first start since the injury return, Nico Schlotterbeck headed the host in front in the 26th minute, but ended up conceding a 70th-minute penalty that helped Bayern complete a comeback, with Harry Kane converting to add to his equalizer six minutes before the hour mark.

Daniel Svenssen leveled for Dortmund seven minutes from time, only for Bayern to retake the lead four minutes later through Kimmich, who fired into the top corner from inside the box after a poor defensive clearance.

Dortmund remain in second place and their six points over third intact after Hoffenheim fell to a home defeat to St. Pauli, whereas Stuttgart and RB Leipzig both won to close the gap, but there was no three points but one for Bayer Leverkusen.

Wolfsburg drops into the relegation zone after Werder Bremen's 2-0 win over Heidenheim, who remains rooted to the base of the table with no wins and two points from nine games since the turn of the year.

Ligue 1

Bradley Barcola's lone winner against Le Havre proved golden for PSG as they move four points clear at the top of the table in Ligue 1 on a weekend where second-place Lens were held in Strasbourg, while third-place Lyon lost at Marseille.

Lille, Rennes, and Monaco all secured wins to boost their chances of a top-six finish, whereas there were no changes in the relegation zone but Auxerre did earn a point against Lorient to stay above Nantes on more than just goal difference.

If you’ve been betting for a while, you’ve probably seen people promising “100% sure wins” or “guaranteed tickets.” The truth is plain: there’s no guaranteed win in football. Even top teams don’t win all the time. That’s how the game works. Most fake tipsters use this promise to pull people in. They show edited screenshots of big wins, but you never see their losses. A common scam is when they ask you to pay first before they show any real proof that their past results are genuine.
