When the lights were brightest across the top five leagues of Europe during the weekend, our analysts were on the lookout to select the best from each leagues.
The standout performers of the weekend this time include familiar names, newbies and those just getting started in a new environment following their winter move.
Every weekend presents a new opportunity for players to make a statement, and this time, our nominees grabbed their chances with both hands.
With decisive performances full of skill, determination, and composure, they ensured that fans and pundits alike will be talking about them before hostilities resume next time in their respective leagues.
From the magnificent Marmoush to the breathtaking Biereth, below are the five top performers of the weekend, in each of the top five leagues of Europe.
Magnificent Marmoush and the Stars of the Weekend
English Premier League: Omar Marmoush of Manchester City

After a few games into his time at Manchester City, Omar Marmoush finally arrived for the Premier League champions during the weekend with a sensational hat-trick in a dominant home win over Newcastle United.
The Egyptian, for the first time this season went four games without finding the back of the net, although did not start in their previous game against Real Madrid.
He opened the scoring in the first 20 minutes, shaking off Kieran Trippier to get on the end of an Ederson long ball, before lobbing a first time finish over the head of Martin Dubravka for his first City goal.
In the process, Ederson makes history as he becomes the goalkeeper with most assists in a single Premier League season with his third, while a total of six makes him the goalkeeper with most in the league's history.
Five minutes after the deadlock was broken, Marmoush registered his second. Ilkay Gundogan played the ball into the feet of the former Frankfurt man on the edge of the box, and he did the rest, finding a room for a shot and beating the goalkeeper to his near post.
Omar Marmoush completed a 14 minute hat-trick just after the hour mark, popping up in the box to fire home a low cross into the box by Savinho as City took the game beyond the visitors.
He became only the second Egyptian to score a Premier League hat-trick after Mohamed Salah, while his was also City's 44th hat-trick in the league, extending their record as the club with most in the competition.
He is our selected star of the weekend in the Premier League, ahead of Arsenal's duo of Ethan Nwaneri and Mikel Merino, the latter who came off the bench to score a brilliant brace and deliver Mikel Arteta's charge a vital win away in Leicester.
Spanish LaLiga: Juanlu Sanchez of Sevilla

Sevilla is having a forgettable season and headed to Real Valladolid during the weekend looking to end a run of three winless.
The 4-1 thrashing in the hands of Barcelona last time out saw them drop further on the log, with just 28 points from 23 games, with just two of their wins coming om the road.
However, less than five minutes into proceedings in the José Zorrilla Stadium, Spanish defender Juanlu Sanchez broke the deadlock, arriving in the box to receive a Ruben Vargas cross, befpre firing a deflected shot into the top corner.
Isaac Romero helped the visitors establish a cushion in the add minutes of the first half, firing home a sensational long range effort from a Juanlu Sanchez assist.
Sanchez completed his brace on the afternoon in the final quarter of the game with a shot into the near post following an under lapping run to a pass from Dodi Lukebakio.
Lukebakio got on the scoresheet himself in the closing stages of the match, teed up by Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke on the break as it finished 4-0 to Sevilla, who achieved their biggest away league win since a 6-2 win at Levante in September 2018.
Juanlu Sanchez, who was directly involved in three of those goals, more than anyone in the league during the weekend is our player of the week, beating Antony of Real Betis and teammate Dodi Lukebakio to the prize.
Italian Serie A: Jurgen Ekkelenkamp of Udinese

The Dutchman bagged a brace to make it a back-to-back Serie A games scored in having failed to score in his first 19 games in the competition.
Udinese are finally getting value for their €5.35 million summer signing from Royal Antwerp as he has now helped them secure four points in their last two games.
With his sensational equalizer to deny Napoli still fresh in memory, the 24-year-old scored again in the opening 20 minutes of their meeting with Empoli on Sunday, sticking out a leg to guide an Arthur Atta strike on goal.
He completed his brace to make it 2-0 five minutes after the hour mark, converting a rebound after Lorenzo Lucca was denied by a fine save from the visitors' goalkeeper, Marco Silvestri.
Florian Thauvin scored in the 90th minute to seal a convincing 3-0 win for the host, further strengthening their grip on the 10th position while they continue to chase to ahead them.

German Bundesliga: Giorgos Masouras of Bochum

Bochum hosted Borussia Dortmund in the weekend looking to end a run of four winless, in a fixture where they had neither won nor lost at home since their return to the topflight in 2021.
Without their star man Myron Boadu, who picked up an injury in a two all draw with Holstein Kiel in the previous matchday, there were concerns of their chances of coming out on top, even so as Dortmund looked to be building momentum with a 3-0 away win over Sporting CP in the UEFA Champions League in mid-week.
After the opening 30 minutes which saw both sides squander decent opportunities to break the deadlock, Giorgos Masouras stepped up to give the host the lead in the 33rd minute on his home debut.
Philipp Hofman made a well timed run into the box to get on the end of a pass, he managed to guide his shot through the bodies and bound for the back of the net. But Masouras get his legs it before crossing the line, just to be sure of the result.
Two minutes later, the Greece International completed his brace following a sloppy defensive play by Dortmund. He collected the ball on the edge of the area and dinked his shot over the head of Gregor Kobel to seal a 2-0 win.
The attacker, who joined the club in the January transfer window has now scored twice in his two appearances, already more than he had in 17 games for Olympiacos in the first half of the season before his loan to Germany.

French Ligue 1: Mika Biereth of AS Monaco

Another sensational performance from the young striker, which makes him the top scorer across all five top European leagues since his Ligue 1 debut midway through January.
Mika Biereth scored his second Ligue 1 hat-trick as Monaco came from a goal down to whitewash 10 man Nantes at home on Saturday afternoon.
Needing a response following their UEFA Champions League loss to Benfica in mid-week, Adolf Hutter's side got off to a worse start possible, as French striker Matthis Abline fired the visitors in front inside the opening five minutes.
Unfortunately, they went a man down three minutes later as Nicolas Cozza was shown a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on Vanderson.
Biereth restored parity for the on the stroke of half-time, firing into the bottom corner from close range following a pass from Takumi Minamino, who also scored in add time to complete the comeback before the interval.

Manchester City star Omar Marmoush left a huge mark in a high stake Premier League clash with Newcastle United, scoring a 14 minute hat-trick to set the tune for an easy win.
He is the ultimate player of the weekend, nicking it off Mika Biereth, who also bagged a hat-trick, although against a 10 man Nantes, while one of his goals also came from a penalty.
Marmoush has finally arrived for Manchester City, and eyes will be fixed on him on Wednesday, when the club seek to overcome a 3-2 deficit away to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
