The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase has delivered a collection of heavyweight clashes, difficult away trips and intriguing match-ups after the draw was completed in Monaco on Thursday, August 27.

The competition features 36 clubs, with each team playing eight matches against eight different opponents, four at home and four away. The league phase begins between September 8 and 10, while the final will be played at Madrid’s Estadio Metropolitano on June 5, 2027.

The headline fixtures include Arsenal vs Real Madrid, PSG vs Barcelona and Liverpool vs Inter, while Manchester United face Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

The draw also creates several opportunities for players to face former clubs and return to familiar grounds, adding another layer to an already fascinating league phase.

Arsenal appear to have one of the more demanding schedules, while Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Bayern and PSG will also face serious tests.

Newcomers such as Sabah, Viking and LASK will meanwhile relish the opportunity to measure themselves against Europe's established giants.
